• @Damir well there are multiple levels of clearance and a project like the Manhattan was under national interest, so as long as they were able to keep it away from foreign spies and intelligence, it's unlikely that anybody working on it would disagree with it. But it's a lot more likely that someone would whistleblow if they seen it as against the national interests, as we have seen with Bradley/Chelsea Manning and Snowden's leaks. But back to NASA, most of NASA's information are kept public and open for anybody to access with the very exception of patents (technically trade secrets, not patents) and know-how they wouldn't want other space agencies to copy, like the specifics of the Space Shuttle engines. SpaceX operates in the same confidentiality given how governments like China wouldn't even hesite in copying it. In fact, speaking of conspiratory theories, a certain Russian politician has once blamed the US of sabotage when their mars' moon mission with China failed miserably, thanks to the rocket getting lost in Space, only to find out later it was a software error. How do you explain such embarrassements? Or how about China's failing moonlander right after a successful landing? And then a subsequent one worked successfully? How about European mission to land on a rocket, which succeeded at landing 10 years after launch but failed to find a spot good enough to receive sunlight to recharge its batteries, lasting only a few hours after landing and dying forever? Why would all these agencies go through all these stories for so long if they could just fake everything? We could by now have real stories about a society which doesn't exist on Mars and so. Faking opens up possibilities for for a much more fun and proud space exploration, don't you think? Why go the extra-ultra-hard and slow pace approach they currently do if with enough misinformation and low education levels, people can be as dumb as believing the earth is flat?

Cleber ZarateCleber Zarate2 muaj më parë
    • @Cleber Zarate Yes, but reputable journalists aren't investigating it, like they weren't investigating Harvey Weinstein's crimes for decades, or when they were, they were stopped by their bosses. So 50 years from now, only fringe websites will even ask if he was murdered. If there is a threat of death or prosecution, powerful people get away with crimes, no matter how many people know. You either play ball or you suffer and not many people are ready to suffer. I know some people in countries around me who have filled massed graves and will never answer for it. Some have even been tried and the witnesses die, disappear or recant their testimony and now they sit in the government. And it's not just in Eastern Europe. Look at the Manhattan Project, hundreds of people knew about it and not a peep for years. Successful conspiracies happen all the time, but that doesn't mean everything is a conspiracy.

It's hard to tell whether someone hung himself or whether someone else hung him, and for whatever reason someone under suicide watch is allowed to have stuff they can hang themselves with, but oh well, as far as investigation is concerned all they know is he was found hung up (and that part is legit)

    • @Karl Heinz You are pretty arrogant considering you are dumb as fck. At the equator : - the directions of gravity and centrifugal force are opposite. - So the centrifugal force has only a vertical component and is an cancelled out by the gravity force acting vertically down. - Centrifugal force produces an acceleration of 0.0339141 m/s^2 - The effect is simply a slight reduction in the Gravity acceleration from 9.81 m/s^2 to 9.77 m/s^2. - Causing a weight reduction at the equator of 0.35%. At 45 degrees Latitude NORTH: - Gravity is acting towards the center of mass - Centrifugal force is acting perpendicular to the AXIS of rotation. - These directions are NOT opposite. - The direction of the centrifugal acceleration is 45 degrees towards the south. - Causing a reduction in weight of 0.172929 % - And more importantly an acceleration of 0.016957 m/s^2 in the direction SOUTH. For a projectile in free fall (say in a vacuum). 100 meters ( fall time 4.51 seconds ) That would cause a deflection of : d = .5 * acceleration * time ^ 2 d = 0.5 * 0.016957 * 4.51^2 d = 0.172454 meters d = 17.2454 cm Check the math. Gravitational acceleration (m/s^2) = -9.80576 Latitude (degrees) = 45 Velocity (mph) = 735.64 Centrifugal acceleration (m/s^2) = 0.0239809 Gravity Direction Vector = (0.707107, 0.707107) Centrifugal Direction Vector = (1, 0) Combined acceleration = (-6.90974,-6.93372) Combined acceleration (relative to ground) = (0.016957,-9.7888) Weight reduction (%) compared to North pole = 0.172929 Projectile drop (time=4.51 seconds) Deflection south (cm) = 17.2454

However, when I slowed it down, I could see that the apparent skinniness of the face was due to the light catching the narrow top of its snout. The rest of the rat's head is there if you look closely. I think the large ears are due to the comparatively poor resolution making the rat look blocky and pixelated. Live-streamed videos have limited bandwidth to draw upon, and so fast-moving things aren't always captured so well - especially if they're drab-coloured and not well-lit.

    • @Jason Nice little theory that you pulled out of you *ss! What you forgot in your crappy little theory is that the compressed gas is not just "released" but burned in large amounts and very fast (on the allegedly real rocket, that is). But sure - right next to all that heat there is ice forming. Not. And: if it was ice from the beginning (while leaving the atmosphere), it would remain frozen because of the freezing temperature there. It's not just "a vacuum", but "but the vacuum of interplanetary space" (or at least it's supposed to be). Though liquid water would actually boil into mist and then freeze into fine ice crystals immediately (we don't see that happen in the video), ice would remain frozen unless there is something else (besides low pressure, which wouldn't do that to ice) causing it to melt. Theoretically. But this something wouldn't allow ice to form there in the first place. And: you would also have to explain why the alleged ice would move the way it did as seen in the video. And: All those little theories aren't worth shit if there is no way to take a sample and to verify all the claims which are nothing but theoretical until that. So, the correct answer is: YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. You can have your little theories what it could be, just as everyone else - but not more than that. And by claiming otherwise or even claiming that everyone who disagrees with you is ignorant, the only thing that you've proven with your crappy little theory (which is full of gaps and mistakes, as I've shown) is that you are a stupid bigmouth!

      EnterhakentänmentEnterhakentänment2 muaj më parë
    • @Enterhakentänment rocket fuel is compressed. When a container releases compressed gas the container cools. The cooling causes water in the atmosphere to condense and freeze. As the ice enters a vacuum the boiling point of water drops, enough heat is generated to then melt off the ice frozen to the rocket from launch. Just because you are ignorant doesn't mean everyone is.

Of course it's hard to say what it really was - and probably there is a good explanation for this. But you have to admit, that it's just as ridiculous, when defenders who know sh*t are jumping to conclusions and can't be fast enough to say: "Well, it's obviously ice!" No, it's not obvious at all! You haven't been there, you haven't checked what it was, and even if it was ice, you surely don't fully understand how it would have gotten there and how it would behave the way it did - so how the f*ck would you know what it really was?! Unless you haven't been able to reproduce this phenomenon experimentally, just admit, that you don't know much about it! It's a phenomenon I and probably most of the people here noticed for the first time. If there is advanced science about this phenomenon - surely, most of the defenders are knowing sh*t about this science and are just jumping to conclusions just as much as the people who say it's a rat.

I would really like someones opinion because i just don't know what to believe anymore. At 3:50 after launch you see a very clear huge thing flapping wings.

    • @NASASpaceflight Whether they're intentionally hiding it because it's bs OR if their explanations for lack of video evidence are true, they both have the same result: zero proof.

      JacoisJacois3 muaj më parë
    • You're just very new to this, clearly. They've explained this for many many missions. The transmitting is on a moving drone ship way out in the ocean being shaken around by the rocket landing. That's why it cuts out. They aren't hiding anything in case it crashes. They even did a parody video of their early rockets crashing.

Matt CMatt C3 muaj më parë
    • They're all that way. Spacecraft don't really need a lot of altitudes (only 60-100 miles), but they need an incredible amount of speed to maintain orbit. The vast majority of the energy used at liftoff is not to gain altitude but to gain velocity tangent to the earth's surface. So a spacecraft will launch vertically at first to clear the thick atmosphere within a few miles of the surface, then gradually become horizontal to earth to gain velocity.

  • Why is technology so great you can land a rocket, backwards on a ship that’s listing and bobbing in the sea, but can’t capture it with reliable video?Anyway, nice launch!

Keith MKeith M4 muaj më parë
    • They can capture it with reliable video, usually the problem they have is with real-time broadcast and the radio waves get interference and etc. I forgot the exacts but I believe the powerfull sound waves cause too much vibration on the antennas. However, in other launches (such as the first times it landed), they had either helicopters or boats from far away recording and broadcasting it live, we fans all watched them crash-land quite many times until the day they finally landed it. Not sure why they stopped that broadcast but I suppose to cut costs since it's nothing besides cool

  • Does crosswinds affect the launch ? Joe ....Long Island ny

Joseph WiszJoseph Wisz4 muaj më parë
    • Legit question, rocket launch is a very precise science (due to nothing else but the ridiculous costs and the exponential problem of carrying fuel), so too strong crosswinds can certainly affect the launch. But the biggest problem with the strong winds isn't even the trajectory shift (the rocket can probably correct it's route up to a certain point), the biggest issue is that the strong winds can push the rocket against the launchpad and blow up. Basically, as soon as the rocket ignites, its nearly stationary, as if it was floating, and given how huge its area is, the wind can shift it sideways by a great deal. The rocket slowly gains speed but as you can see, it still takes quite a few seconds to get above the launch pad, even though later on the rocket is able of reaching speeds of 25km/s. And if you think rockets are expensive, wait till you find out the cost of a launch pad
